    A charming example of 20th century folk art with vibrant color and some elegantly gestural brushwork. Painted in 1967 by Helen E. Johnson. Little is known of the artist - she is likely Helen Johnson born in Whitman, Massachusetts in 1936, and died 2014 in Barefoot Bay, Florida.

    This work is a study of the painting "Eastern Point Lighthouse" by Tad Call. Call was a 20th century American painter who worked in oil and watercolor, and was active at the time this piece was painted. Prints of his work became quite popular and may still be found on the secondary market today. An image of his Eastern Point Lighthouse print is included among the photographs above.
